Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Develop and manage Machine Learning (ML) & data pipelines to facilitate experimentation, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), verification, validation, and monitoring of ML models throughout their lifecycle, both in development and production environments
• Develop production-ready code using Python, applying object-oriented programming principles to create modular, reusable, and scalable solutions
• Utilize advanced SQL (analytic/window functions, nested fields, stored procedures, partitioning, views) to design and improve efficient data pipelines tailored to ML applications
• Ability to understand and maintain existing codebase, including debugging, troubleshooting, and enhancing functionality, to support collaboration with team members and ensure smooth continuation of projects
• Share your knowledge and provide technical guidance to your colleagues in the development team

Your Profile

• Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Machine Learning or a related field
• Several years of professional experience in software development 
• Experience with various database systems, such as OLTP (MySQL, PostgreSQL), column-based OLAP (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) and/or NoSQL (Redis, Google Datastore, MongoDB)
• Experience writing production-ready code in Python and common ML frameworks (Tensorflow/PyTorch)
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools, such as Kubeflow or Airflow
• Experience working in the Cloud (ideally Google Cloud) and modern engineering approaches incl. MLOps, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience working in an agile development environment
• You are fluent in English and enjoy working with different stakeholders
